There’s no doubt about it: Generation Y – born in the 1980’s and 90’s and often referred to with varying levels of affection (or disdain) as “millennials” – has changed the game for employers that want to compete for and retain the best 21st Century talent.

These young, values-driven workers, which will make up approximately 75% of the workforce by 2025, won’t be influenced by money alone—they need an emotional stake in the game. But as research shows, today’s business leaders aren’t prepared to connect with the “new workforce” and engage them in a meaningful way.
