This approach to assessment has also been identified as a useful mode of ‘adaptation’ for delivering assessment within Ofqual’s extended extraordinary regulatory framework.
Through remote invigilation (also known as online invigilation or proctoring), assessments can take place in a wider range of settings, giving awarding organisations the ability to deliver testing continuity. So now, many of those in assessment management roles within Ofqual-regulated Awarding Organisations, whether already familiar with online testing or not, are considering remote invigilation as an adaptation to their existing test delivery methods.
